Appointment times are scheduled directly with the therapist.


We accept several different insurance plans. Not all staff members accept the same insurances.

Please be aware that many insurance plans do not cover psycho-educational evaluations. We will be happy to assist you in determining if your plan offers such coverage.

We do not accept medicaid or medicare.

Hours of Operations

The center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am through 6pm. Weekend appointments may be scheduled at the discretion of the therapist. We do not accept walk-in appointments.


We work hand in hand with medical doctors to ensure the best possible coordination of care.

Over the years we have developed strong working relationships with other providers and can provide appropriate referrals for psychiatric and other care as needed.



Carlos B. Reinoso, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Cogmed Qualified Specialist
Clinic Director

Dr. Reinoso is a licensed psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of developmental disorders such as ADHD, Learning Disorders, Dyslexia, Autism, and Asperger's Disorder.  He is a Cogmed Qualified Specialist. Dr. Reinoso treats patients from early childhood through young adulthood. He founded the clinic in 1996. Dr. Reinoso is also the author of Little Ducky Jr. and the Whirlwind Storm© an inspirational tale for children surviving catastrophes such as Hurricane Katrina.

Annie Crapanzano Mora, Ph.D.*
Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Mora is a licensed psychologist with experience addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of both typically developing and developmentally disabled children and adolescents. In particular, Dr. Annie specializes in the assessment and treatment of common childhood disorders such as ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Autism, and Learning Disabilities. She works closely with the Archdiocese of New Orleans and local schools training parents, counselors and administrators on tactics for minimizing the effects of bullying.  She has also served on the Archdiocese’s Anti-Bullying Committee and the Safe Environments Committee.

Karen Palmer, LPC-S, NCC*
Licensed Professional Counselor
National Board Certified Counselor

Karen is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, and Registered Yoga Teacher who has vast experience working with adolescents. She has worked in the school setting for eighteen years and continues to offer counseling services to children and adults in the community. Karen has expertise in mindfulness training and specializes in anxiety, ADHD, social skills training, anger management, addiction, and adjustment issues which face adolescents and adults. She has a strong interest in teaching youth and adults to manage stress and crisis issues.

Eliza Sheffield, LCSW*
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Eliza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has years of experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. She has worked in a variety of school settings and is well-versed in helping adolescents navigate the unique challenges they face. She works in collaboration with clients to support and empower each individual in a way that promotes healing and personal growth. She provides a safe, non-judgmental environment in which the respect and dignity of the client always comes first. Her areas of treatment expertise include anxiety disorders, depression and self harm, relationship issues, and adjustment disorders. Eliza uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) approaches, both of which incorporate mindfulness techniques.

Taylor Ovella Langlois, LPC-A, NCC*
Licensed Professional Counselor-Appraisal Privilege
National Board Certified Counselor

Taylor is an Appraisal-Privileged Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board Certified Counselor who specializes in child and adolescent behavioral health. Her primary focus is creating a safe environment, while providing honest communication with her patients and quality resources for parents and caregivers. In addition to training and clinical experience as a founding team member at one of Ochsner’s inpatient psychiatric hospitals, Taylor has developed a specialty in working with children and adolescents who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety, Developmental Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, and Intellectual Disability. Taylor provides individual, group, and family counseling with a focus on helping patients learn coping skills, social skills, communication skills, and functional living skills.  She works together with her patients to set therapeutic goals and uses evidence-based techniques such as Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, while incorporating mindfulness and person centered techniques.


Heather Teske, M.S., OTR/L, SIPT
Director,  Sensational Kids O.T.

Heather Teske is an independent pediatric occupational therapist whose practice is housed in the BHHDC facility. She serves as consultant to the BHHDC staff and provides occupational therapy to children and adults. Her clientele includes children with autism spectrum characteristics, fine-motor delays, sensory integration issues, and handwriting concerns.

Stacey Stemke, MCD, CCC-Slp.
Director, Speech & Learning Center

Stacey Stemke is an independent speech pathologist whose practice is housed in the BHHDC facility. She and her team serve as consultants to the BHHDC staff and provide speech and language therapy to children and adults.

*Please note that  we utilize independent contractors for services.
