Behavioral Health & Human Development Center

The Homework & Tutoring Center is a learning clinic that we developed at the Behavioral Health & Human Development Center to meet the academic needs of the children.

Our teachers utilize a Homework First approach to tutoring. We will provide remediation where a child shows academic weaknesses, but there is a focus on the academic work that the child must complete to be successful in their grade level.  Our teachers work hand in hand with Dr. Carlos Reinoso, the clinic director and Developmental Psychologist, to ensure that each child’s academic, developmental, and emotional needs are met. The teaching process includes remediation, homework completion, and organizational/study skills development.

Most children attend our center twice per week. Some may require more extensive tutoring. Most tutoring sessions are provided at the rate of $40.00 per hour. Special or extended services may require higher fees.
